When I adopt an animal what vetting does it include?
- All animals adopted through the humane society will receive the first of the vaccinations if a puppy or kitten and all of the vaccinations if its an adult. The spay or neuter included in the adoption cost.
Why should I get my cat fixed?
- We recommend you spay & neuter your pets as a way to prevent unwanted animals. Animals on the regular get surrendered to the shelter because they are unwanted at any age or no longer be cared for. Rescues across Manitoba and more are full of unwanted animals. Spaying or Neutering your animal can keep your animal safe and prevent homeless animals. We offer Low income spay & Neuter programs.
Why adopt an animal from our shelter?
- Adopting an animal from our shelter helps the animals in our area thrive. Giving them a warm safe home to live out their life. We will be an encouragement for people to be responsible owners, we will provide assistance and leadership in the humane treatment of animals. Adopting from us helps our animal community.
If I have any other animals can I still adopt a dog or cat?
- Yes, If you have other animals you may still adopt from us. We may ask you general questions about their care and health. We do require all dogs and cats in our adopters household to have their dogs spayed or neutered.
