Parkland Humane Society
Pawsability Luncheon

A very successful 3rd Annual Imagine the Possibility Luncheon was held on November 5, 2011.

We were very fortunate to have Monica Archer join the Parkland Humane Society and donate her talents to provide us with a very delicious meal. Pratt's Wholesale provided us with a lot of our lunch supplies and the baked goodies were provided at a discount by Western Bakery. We were fortunate to have a number of dedicated members, volunteers and directors who helped in making, setting up and serving meal. The Youth Philanthropy students from McKenzie Middle School were on hand to serve the beverages.
The luncheon tables looked lovely decorated by our decorating committee. Decorations included Sugar Cookies in the shape of dogs and cats, made and decorated by Talya Oleski’s mom Joanne Oleski. She made enough for the tables and we were also able to sell a few at the door. I understand they were delicious but was not fast enough to get a taste.

Jamie Derhak once again organized the silent auction and raffle tables. Thanks to the generous donations from various businesses and individuals in the community it was a big success. A big thank you to Jamie, who also donated and to the other individuals and businesses. Also thank you to our busy young volunteers who helped with the raffle.
A new addition this year was silent auction results being announced for dog houses built and set up for auction at Dauphin Mall. We are hoping to have this happen again next year with more dog houses being built for auction.

A thank you to Denise Penrose for being our Hostess again this year.

I would also like to thank our Corporate Sponsors: Redi Mix, Wal-Mart Pharmacy, Marion Pernerowski and Dr. Mike Penrose for their generous donations.
