Jake is a joyful, affectionate dog who truly thrives on being around people and is always happy and eager to share his love. Although he is only eight months old, he often presents as much older due to his calm, gentle nature. Known for giving the best hugs and soaking up every bit of attention, Jake is wonderful with people of all ages and would make an excellent family companion. He is both house trained and kennel trained, well mannered and calm inside the shelter, yet energetic and playful when it’s time to have fun. Jake loves being outdoors, especially playing fetch, and he knows how to sit and responds well when called by name, showing his eagerness to please. He is curious but gentle with cats and remains non-defensive even if corrected by one. Jake approaches new friends with kindness, and his presence has been especially beneficial to his best friend Karma, —her personality truly shines when she is with him, and she learns confidence from his behavior. With his loving nature and balanced energy, Jake brings warmth and happiness wherever he goes. On walks, he is curious and alert and may tug on the leash at times when something catches his interest, though treats help him focus and listen extremely well. Jake has no guard dog tendencies and would happily greet a stranger with a wagging tail. He does, however, prefer companionship and may cry if left alone outside for too long without a human or canine friend; his Husky side defiantly comes out!
