KODA
Location: Parkland Humane Society
Sex: Male
Breed: German Shephard
Colour: Tri-Colour
Age: 3-4 Years
Koda is a male German Shepherd who embodies all the classic traits of the breed—intelligent, energetic, loyal, and full of personality. Always ready for an adventure, he thrives on staying active and engaged. Half mastermind and half drama queen, Koda keeps life entertaining with his big personality and confident presence. Koda has previously lived in both city and country settings, with the country lifestyle being his clear preference. Koda may show barrier reactivity at fencing, particularly when people pass by, and would benefit from a setup that reduces fence-line exposure; A farm or acreage would suit him well, as he would be happiest in a calm environment with plenty of space to roam. Koda loves being outdoors and has a special fondness for playing ball—fetch is his favorite! Always prepared, he’s often seen carrying a ball around in his mouth… just in case. Koda is still working on a few manners, including his enthusiastic habit of jumping up to say hello, and he can sometimes be a bit selective with his hearing, which can affect his recall. Inside, Koda loves to settle in into his kennel. This is his safe and comfortable space, where he likes to relax and keep track of his treasured belongings (usually balls). When adopted, Koda will come with a care package which would include his kennel & bed to help ease the transition into his new home. He can walk nicely on a leash, though he’s still working on consistency. With patience, structure, and a home that understands his needs, Koda will make a devoted and rewarding companion. If you are interested in Koda, please fill out a Dog Adoption Application.
