LACEY
Location: In Foster
Sex: Female
Breed: Collie X
Colour: Black with White
Age: 2 Years
Introducing the irresistible Lacey! She is all the love & endearment you could want; always ready to greet everyone with her joyful personality. Good manners are second nature to her, as she is eager to please. She has already learned to sit, stay, come, shake, and lay down during her time at the shelter. We are excited to explore the new tricks she's willing to learn, as we see a wealth of potential in her.
Although Lacey is classified as a Collie X, and her appearance seems to confirm this; she is much less of a working dog and more of the type to curl up beside you in a warm house, loving to be with her people as much as possible. This is when she is truly content. She is a remarkably beautiful dog with expressive eyes, long black coat and possesses a generally laid-back and easy-going demeanor. Are you in love with her as much as we are? Let me tell you more… Lacey is quick to display her cheerful demeanor and amiable personality. She is in control of herself when displaying her excitement, and is unlikely to jump unless invited to do so. She is likely to bond with a companion dog following a proper introduction, given that she has formed friendships at the shelter; however, she would also be very happy on her own. You would think its time to mention some negatives but there truly aren't any. She remains unfazed by the cats and interacts wonderfully with children. She is well-trained in household etiquette and would thrive in a home where kenneling is not necessary. Lacey shows no aggression towards food or toys, and her barking is minimal.
She doesn't care much for the winter weather, opting to wear a jacket and take refuge in a dog house rather than frolic in the snow. She's definitely more of an indoor dog.
