BILLIE

Location: Parkland Humane Society
Sex: Female
Color: Brown Tabby
Birthday: 2-3 Years

We write a lot of adoption profiles. Usually we have plenty to work with. "This cat loves toys" "This cat sleep in the sink"... and then there is Billie. We asked the volunteers what makes Billie special... Silence ... We checked our notes... Nothing. We watched her for cues, she was just sitting there. So after extensive research we can officially confirm: Billie is a cat. She is brown, she is a tabby, she has a frostbitten ear. Billie's hobbies include sitting, standing, occasionally relocating and somehow appearing in rooms without anyone witnessing her arrival. She's basically a Victorian ghost except brown and requires a litter box.  She is incredibly quiet, no drama, no nonsense. No desperate need to be involved. She's basically the coworker who has worked beside you for three years and you're still not entirely sure what department she's in. Her frost bitten ear is currently carrying approximately 94% of her interesting facts. What's the catch? There isn't one. That would require Billie to give us additional material. Maybe once she gets a home, an enormous personality will emerge. Maybe she'll discover toys, Maybe she'll become ridiculously affectionate. Or maybe 10 years from now, you'll glace across your living room and think: "Oh Yeah Billie". Billie isn't flashy, she isn't dramatic. She isn't trying to impress anybody. She is simply Billie. And frankly we respect that commitment. Billie wakes up every morning, clocks in completes another successful day of being Billie and clocks back out. No overtimes, no unnecessary effort, no notes. Frankly, she has achieved a level of work-life balance the rest of us can only dream about. Come meet Billie!
