Meet Carolina, as in Carolina Reaper Pepper, Because apparently "Susan" wouldn't have adequately prepared anyone. Carolina is a Chihuahua cross, making her a little bigger than your standard Chihuahua - which is convenient because she has approximately three full sized personalities to store somewhere. Carolina is affectionate, hilarious, dramatic, ridiculously people oriented and equipped with ears that may require their own postal code. This girl is absolutely completely unapologetically obsessed with her people. She wants to be in your lap, in your arms or, ideally, somehow both. Carolina will try and scale you. There is no hesitation. No requests for permission. She simply begins her ascent like a tiny determined mountain goat. This dog can climb a human with the urgency of someone escaping a burning building, but give her a bowl of food and suddenly she's at a five-star restaurant with nowhere else to be... ma'am, the restaurant closes at 9. Despite all this drama, Carolina is actually a pretty accomplished little lady. She's house trained, kennel trained and working on leash walking, although she remains unconvinced that walking is necessary when humans have perfectly functional arms to carry her instead...frankly she has a point. Barriers, however are Carolina's sworn enemy. Put a fence, gate, or kennel door between her and a person she want to she will immediately file a very loud formal complaint. She isn't necessarily upset about where she is. She's upset that you are over there & she can't reach you. Carolina doesn't need much: a comfy bed, a patient human, a little leash practice and unrestricted access to your lap.
